Research Prompt 2
TBK: Annotated Bibliography
From the list of articles and books in the bibliography I've created, http://vulgaranalysis.blogspot.com/2012/10/tbk-bibliography.htmlchoose one of the entries and create an annotated bibliographical entry for the chosen article or book. Be sure to pick a text that no one else has already annotated.
Purdue's OWL site provides examples and ideas about how to construct a bibliographical entry:

Research Prompt 3
Beginnings and The Brothers Karamazov
Prompt 3
Read the first two pages of every chapters we've read so far. Make a chart that briefly outlines how each chapters begins.
Does it begin with dialog? Does it begin with an event or an action? Does it begin en media res? Does it begin as thoughts in a character's head? Does it begin with physical descriptions? Does the chapter begin with an open conflict, a happy thought? Does the chapter begin with a narrator's words or reflections? What is the tone? Light? Sarcastic? Worried? Somber? Cold? Warm? Does the beginning include irony or symbolism? What topic is covered in these first two pages?
Finally, write a paragraph where you analyze the results of your research. Do you see any patterns? Which ones? How does Dostoevsky use the beginning of his chapter?
