Each group will create a discussion-generating activity for the class. The activity should engage students in speaking about what about the texts we have read so far this year interests them. The activity should lead the students to consider the themes of the course. The activity should require a substantive knowledge of the course materials. The activity should last approximately ten minutes.
Questions to consider:
How do the texts we've read so far serve as social critiques?
What is the object of critique?
How is suffering represented in Bleak House and A Small Place?
How does Contingency, Irony, Solidarity understand fiction and the novel?
